Are you pro-choice? Would you like to meet other pro-choice people? Would you also like to see BSU continue to not be overrun with anti-choice terrorists and their propaganda?

Then show up this Saturday, April 14th for Feminists for Action’s PRO-CHOICE LOVEFEST

You see, the BSU anti-choice group has decided to put on a “Pro-life bootcamp.” Yeah. Not only are their lies so hard to swallow that they need to break their followers para-military-style in order to use them for their cause, but they’re doing this in order to prepare for next year.

What’s happening next year, you ask? Oh, just a total ramping-up of their propaganda on campus. They plan on bombarding unwitting students with tables on campus, joining forces with religious groups to lobby against women’s* rights, and bringing a known terrorist organization to campus.

Feminists for Action is not taking this lying down.

Join us Saturday for free food, games, and music as we learn the truth and arm ourselves with peer-reviewed statistics published in scholarly journals.

Because you don’t need to be broken by the church to respect women’s* choices, bodies, and rights.

If you’re interested in joining us, shoot me a message or reply to this post, and I’ll hook you up with the Facebook event.

And remember: This is the anti-choice group that told me (and my feminist cohorts) that I’ve given every man in the world permission to rape me at any time, because I use birth control.

They aren’t logical. They aren’t loving. And they aren’t going to take over our fucking campus.

The AP is reporting that Karen Handel has resigned as vice president for public policy for Susan G. Komen for the Cure after the massive public relations disaster caused by withdrawing funding from Planned Parenthood.

More here and here.

She’s also got a press conference scheduled in Atlanta some time today. Presumably to further discuss how the big meanie liberals yell a lot and love to kill babiez.

TRIGGER WARNING: Homophobia, Hate speech.

A Tennessee state lawmaker on Thursday claimed that HIV originated in the gay community by an airline pilot who had sex with monkey, and that it was “virtually impossible” to contract the disease through heterosexual sex.

Appearing on the Michelangelo Signorile Show on Sirius XM radio, State Senator Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville) — author of Tennessee’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill that would prohibit teachers from mentioning homosexuality in kindergarten through 8th grade classrooms — also asserted that the lifespan for gays and lesbians is “very short,” telling listeners to “Google it yourself.”

He is scum and I can’t even comprehend the fact that he holds a public office.

Here’s the full article, with direct quote of his comments, which if anything are worse than you think.

He’s the same guy that was kicked out of the restaurant JUST LAST WEEK for being such a giant hateful bigot.

His sponsored and co-sponsored bills read like a laundry list of racist, anti-immigrant, anti-woman, anti-poor, anti-lgbtq propaganda.

Some of my favorites:

Operation Rescue launches database of abortion providers

To recap:

Operation Rescue is an anti-choice group with terrorist ties. Period.

Their senior policy adviser is a convicted clinic bomber.

The man who murdered Dr. Tiller had their phone number in his car.

And now, this. This. I want to cry. I probably will, actually. And that’s what they want, I’m sure. Well, congrats, Operation Rescue. You have successfully instilled genuine, shitting-my-pants fear in me over the idea of clinic escorting tomorrow. I’m going to go anyway, of course, because it’s more important to me than my own life, but make no mistake, everyone: anti-choicers enable terrorists. Yes, even the ones who claim to be opposed to clinic violence. They enable this shit, they funded this website, and they support the people who created it. They are pissing themselves with glee over this.

There is no middle ground here. There is no compromising. They want us dead.

And I ask you, great big internet, where’s Anonymous? Where are the hacktivists? Where are the people who are frothing at the mouth over SOPA/PIPA as an invasion of privacy? Where are the starry-eyed radikewls who are willing to drop their jobs and lives to camp out at Wall Street and have a drum circle?

Honestly? Fuck you if you don’t care about this. Fuck you if you think it’s all about “the economy.” Fuck you if you’re too self-involved to recognize how access to reproductive health care is essential to economic security and social mobility for women, especially WOC. Fuck you if you are not enraged about compassionate physicians having TARGETS PAINTED ON THEIR BACKS BY A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.
